The Hilton Home2 Suites in downtown Kansas City is an extended-stay hotel located in the heart of the city’s Crossroads district. This million hotel at 20th and Main Streets is a prime example of how city leaders, financiers and developers may work together to repair urban blight and rejuvenate an area.
Developing this 1.2-acre property required significant expertise and patience on our part.. We first resolved a legal dispute with the owner of a billboard on the property. Once complete, we worked with the city to demolish the closed Walnut Street ramp, which cut right through the property.
To fund the project, our team pursued a bet365 best casino games abatement through Port KC. The agreement called for a 100% property bet365 best casino games abatement, as well as a five-year, 50% abatement on the property’s added value.
All of this work resulted in a beautiful, 105-room hotel in a bustling arts and entertainment district. The building’s interior is filled with locally designed art installations, while its red brick facade respects and enhances the architectural character of the neighborhood. Located alongside Kansas City’s streetcar route, this Hilton Home2 is a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere for anyone looking to experience all Kansas City has to offer.
