Sunflower Development Bet365 betting website secured million in New Market Tax Credits for Kansas City PBS resulting in roughly .4 million in equity to support a 45,000ft rehabilitation of their headquarters at 31st and Main. Enterprise Bank & Trust provided the NMTCs, debt and equity to the project furthering their strong commitment to the Troost Corridor.
The .5 million project supported the renovation of the existing KC PBS building to create a more inclusive environment, replace outdated broadcasting technology and create high quality content that helps residents better participate in the civic and cultural life of their community. Big Bird and his team are reportedly ecstatic with their new future home.
KCPT’s facility brings community and national resources together under one roof to help citizens become active participants in important matters — an antidote to isolation and disenfranchisement — a powerful vehicle for communication and understanding. Yet this valuable facility was in need of investment to reach its full potential of service to the Kansas City community.
As part of the million Kansas City Picture This campaign, KCPT will invest million in building renovations to update and improve the current facilities, ensuring KCPT’s ability to convene and collaborate with the community as well as invest in innovative programming and the talent and technology to create it.
Updated facilities will create a higher level of civic investment in Kansas City by connecting the public to content that matters to them: highlighting local artists and musicians, spotlighting business and innovation, offering education services, producing in-depth reporting and providing a dialogue.
